Ford Teams Up with Semtech to Design American-Made Semiconductors

PHILADELPHIA (March 31, 2011) – Ford Motor Company today announced a partnership with Semtech Corporation to enable the smooth, secure, and reliable distribution of U.S.-made semiconductors. The collaboration with Semtech enables Ford to extend its “Made in the USA” pledge to semiconductors.

“With Semtech, we are demonstrating our commitment to technology and work towards an America where our cars are truly made here,” said Ken Washington, vice president, procurement and supply chain management, Ford Motor Company. “This partnership will help ensure the sustainability of our supply chain and ensure that Ford remains a leader in technology innovation.”
